Alex HudsonAlkex Hudson's EP is named '2nd2LAST', yet he should be aiming for towards the front. There's a lot of promise here, and the pop punkster can be proud of his efforts. 'Getting Out' has good, spiky guitar riffs, but the vocals are too slow for the pace of the track, and the same goes for 'maybe', where the vocals aren't quite punk enough. However, in 'Seen It All Before' and 'Hold On', the pace of the songs is slower, and this suits his voice a lot better. These are both very good. 'Untitled' is a decent end to the EP, with the lyrics needing a touch of work. The vocals are deeper than that of Busted, which his style is familiar to, yet they don't have the catchy vibe they have. While this is a mixed bag, he has the potential. And with new song 'Romeo and Juliet' on his MySpace player, there is already proof that he has so much talent, in what is an all round great track! www.myspace.com/alexxhudson Further Information
