KalenaKalena are doing quite well for themselves lately with a number of high-profile support slots, and briefly found their way into my setlists over the winter. They're a very tight, energetic indierock band who've grown up listening to all the right bands. Tracks like The Basement betray an almost Smiths-esque jangle, but it's the crunchier tracks like Eastern Block that stand out, proving that they are capable of both riffs and melody within a song.
