Band and Demo Reviews: Unsigned Music Reviews
Khalo
KhaloKhalo are a band that first came to my attention whilst supporting Alexisonfire not so long ago @ Nottingham Rock City. This 6 piece come from Peterborough and it has to be said, for a small group of rather young lads they make a huge sound. A must for anybody interested in the newcomers to the heavy metal scene. The substantial riff and drum layering in the introduction to "Lifeless" makes impressive head way for some definitive screamcore vocal sounds. The riffs wouldn't be out of place being played by a band many years senior. The song overall has lots of depth and differs in pace throughout. Nothing that you would have expected, always throwing a curveball. "Breaking Point" however, I feel is in slight contrast to the first but in a good way. Reminiscent of a matured and less theatrical Cradle of filth. Again impressive riffs throughout with some classical piano influences in the end for good measure. These guys are incredibly talented for their age and can only endeavour to get better and better. For fans of: Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine www.myspace.com/khaloband Further Information
