Band and Demo Reviews: Unsigned Music Reviews
Lay

Lay

For a band relatively new, who have put up largely one take tracks, this is an amazing band. Describing themselves as 'two mildly average people from Liverpool' shows they're going down the modesty path, but after listening to the cover of 'Summertime' a few times, it's clear that they have reason to brag of their music.

Bluesy, easy going soul is what they go for, and 'Darling Eve' is what I'd consider their signature song. Highly impressive, with a shuffling beat behind great lyrics and stylish musicianship.

I really like this band. They're doing something fresh and original in a world of rehashed styles, and they're doing it with class, again in a world of rehashed styles. So find somewhere to lay and relax to the sound of Lay.
