Neil McClaffertyThe vocals are the first thing you will notice, as they're strong, powerful and heartfelt. 'No More Excuses' is a great track, and it's the personal content he is willing to deal with that sets him apart. The guitar is simplistic, and is more designed for the background, which works in his favour. Rather that being influenced by the likes of Jeff Buckley and Damien Rice, the vocal delivery is more akin to The Ramones, and it's a style that works well. 'The Big One' is again simplistic, yet stunning in emotion and energy. Very enjoyable sounds from one of Dumbarton's finest artists. www.myspace.com/neilmcclafferty Further Information
