Band and Demo Reviews: Unsigned Music Reviews
Olly Dabblers

Olly Dabblers

Olly Dabblers are one of the strangest bands I've ever heard. Take 'Nuttys Barmy Army' for instance. Pleasant guitar gives way to vocals so loud they will make you jump. At first, they seem completely out of place. Even more so once vocalist Mo starts to rap. Yet, somehow, it works for them.

For screaming vocals read passion and energy. For rapping read flow of consciousness. For barking mad read genius. The more you hear them the more you want to hear more, like a guilty pleasure.

Amongst the aforementioned track and the equally mad 'Cider in the Park' are two acoustic tracks. Quite good ones, too. Yet listen to them in all their mad glory to get a real feel for this band. It'll be an experience.
