Band and Demo Reviews: Unsigned Music Reviews
One Sad Horse
One Sad HorseSwedes One Sad Horse are nothing to be sad about at all. They should be revered, celebrated and loved, as their album is full of wonderful songs, great music and charisma and charm. 'Just For Us' is a great start, with majestic, uplifting instrumental work, and the sweeping, wonderfully melodic 'This is our Funeral' is a joyous song, despite what you might think when singing about a funeral! 'Almost' is more sombre, with a slower, melancholic style, and the effective guitar work carries on into 'Sunbeam', in the form of catchy solo riffs. With 'Elusive' the slower style returns yet again the style cannot be ignored, with joint vocals and brilliant musicianship once more. Other highlights are the refreshing, jangly 'The 90s is gone' and the atmospheric 'Graveyard Baby', yet each track is crafted so that the vast styles, influences and ideas clearly incorporated into the band are expressed. how else could they move from foot stomping rock (If I Cry) to laid back, acoustic feeling (We've Got Something) tracks so effortlessly? Such a brilliant mix makes this a band to watch. Closely. www.myspace.com/onesadhorse Further Information
