Band and Demo Reviews: Unsigned Music Reviews
Strategic Intent

Strategic Intent

With the album entitled 'Are We having Fun Yet?', my mind immediately wandered to the Nickelback lyric from You Remind Me, and was half expecting a Nickelback tribute EP by numbers. Instead, Stretegic Intent's EP is a breath of fresh air, and was a good listen.

'Having It Easy' is rock and roll, with heavy, no frills guitar work, and the vocals work well. Then again, they work well in each of the four songs, with differing styles in each, and this is a good sign for the band. 'Counting Down To Friday' is a more light hearted offering, with a rhythmic drum intro giving way to funky guitar and an enjoyable song, before the Subways-esque feel of 'No Alibi'.

'In Your Arms' is the right feel for an end-of-EP track, with a sound that impresses nicely. Listen to this band, and you will be having fun.
