The Chairmen
The ChairmenThe Chairmen are a Hinckley band pioneering the genre of 'turbo-folk'. In reality this means 'sounds a bit like The Coral' but this is in no way a bad thing. They write catchy, bouncy guitar-pop songs with dark undertones, the best example being Sense And Reason which has jangly Kinksy guitars but a rather unnerving minor key riff. While a bit of variety would be appreciated accross their songs, they're an enjoyable, cool band. Cool as folk. Turbo-folk. www.myspace.com/the_chairmen Further Information
