The Colour Sound Experiment

The Colour Sound Experiment

TCSE seem to have been on a journey through music genre land, got lost somewhere between funk and ska, and had a party. The result is an infectiously catchy sound, as demonstrated in 'Funkin A', a fantastic track that would, I imagine, go down a treat live.

'Like Wizard's Sleeve' threatens to be a different animal with a slow intro, but the fun soon washes over the track, with more of a rock edge to it than was evident in the opener.

Completing a quite excellent set of songs is the superb 'Dance Issues'. Head nodder. Foot stomper. Throw clichés around, yet you'd not quite hit the spot in describing the appeal of this storming song.

This experiment has been a success. The findings are that Newport has produced another fantastic band!
