Band and Demo Reviews: Unsigned Music Reviews
The Fores
The ForesThe Fores are a band dripping in potential, and are making waves with a guitar driven sound that is taking the Midlands by storm. The first track of their EP is titled 'Unknown Destination', yet it is more of an unplanned journey through the main roads of rock, arriving in Rock City! Puns aside, it's a solid track, with the stunning guitar-work of Tom Iliffe giving a great impression. The winding, wailing guitar solo is excellent, and this continues into 'Outta Town', with another guitar driven stormer. Not that this is a one man band, as 'Don't Try To Fool Me' is a great example of musicianship from each and every member, blending to create a truly awesome sound. Soaring guitars compliment the understated yet dynamic drums, and it is this track that is the best on the CD. 'Golden Gate' and the bonus track 'Bad Karma' are valuable tracks as well, as they offer a different sound and style, which shows depth and flexibility in their sound. Bad Karma starts slowly, yet with the rip of the of the guitar and drums later in the track come the lyrics 'when you find your place.' The Fores find their place: in the middle of a rock'n'roll whirlwind. www.myspace.com/thefores Further Information
