Band and Demo Reviews: Unsigned Music Reviews
The Histrioniks
The HistrioniksA mix between The Shins and some kind of crazy pill The Histrioniks are wonderfully unique. "Girl in a Cube" is a nursery rhyme put to music, "My Name Was Yes" is hypnotically entrancing, Cat Levy's vocals cutting through the guitars and bass like a knife. "Underneath it All" is an indie anthem reminiscent of The Magic Numbers and "Saints in Atticus" is a Metric style assault on the senses. While the Histrioniks might not be everyone's cup of tea, they are definitely an entertaining listen and their slightly barmy brand of indie is welcome in the sea of copy cat tat. myspace.com/thehistrioniks Further Information
