"It really has the air of quality about it that is hard to find"

The Screening are a 4 piece Leicester based bands with ambitions stretching way beyond the Midlands. Or the UK itself, for that matter, as the band have been signed to Intravenous Records in Los Angeles, no less. Impressive stuff, yet despite the traveling, gigging and label interest, their music has remained the most important factor for them. And it shows.

The EP to be released by IV features the wonderful track 'Diem'. Funky to start with, it's everything that is great about their music. Catchy, fresh, and boasting a chorus that begs to be played to a stadium full of fans. Bands who make it big and return to their home city to play a massive show would be proud of this, it really has the air of quality about it that is hard to find.

However, listening to 'Go' suggests the band have more to them, with this a swaggering, Oasis-edged rock track. Make no mistake, the band are on fire right now, and their confidence is obvious. 'So Cool' is another choice track, with great lyrics and stylish guitar work.

Expect great, great things from this band. Having improved vastly over the last two years, and possessing several cracking songs, they deserve to make it big.
